Search Parameters

Reference for country, city, map pin, language, device, domain, SafeSearch, and result page settings.

Search parameters control the market and result shape for Direct Search, Search Engine Proxy, SERP Position Tracker, and Ads Position Tracker.

The search term. Queries must be specific enough to produce useful results.

Examples:

best local seo software
rank tracker by city
emergency plumber berlin

The target country or market. Country is required for most search workflows.

City refines the country location. Use city when local intent matters.

Map pin uses latitude and longitude for an exact location origin. Latitude and longitude must be provided together.

Use map pin for neighborhood-level local research.

Language controls the search/interface language. It does not always mean results will only include pages in that language unless language-only restriction is enabled.

Device controls the result type for proxy and tracker workflows. Available device categories include desktop, mobile, and tablet variants.

Direct Search does not use device selection.

Supported engines depend on the tool. Direct Search and Search Engine Proxy support Google and Bing where available. SERP Position Tracker focuses on Google.

Domain selects the search engine domain where supported, such as a country-specific Google domain.

Use this only when the domain itself is part of your research question.

SafeSearch controls search engine filtering. Use the setting that matches your reporting policy or customer scenario.

Country-only restricts results to pages from the selected country when supported. Use it for scoped market research, not as a default.

Language-only restricts results to pages in the selected language when supported. Use it when page language matters.

Search Engine Proxy can request multiple result pages. Start with page 1 and add more only when deeper coverage is needed.

Open Direct Search in the app. Use Direct Search for a quick parameter test, or Search Engine Proxy when you need captured results inside iSearchFrom.
