Google Drive
Deliver dated export files — Excel, CSV, JSON Lines, SQL or Parquet — into a folder of your Google Drive on every run.
A Google Drive destination adds dated files to a folder in your Google Drive on every run: one file per dataset, in the format you choose. It suits teams who work from Drive — open an Excel file straight from the folder, share the folder with a client, or let another tool pick the files up. Google Drive destinations are included on the Team and Agency plans.
What you need
Section titled “What you need”A Google account connected under Settings → Integrations with Google Drive access. Google Drive and Google Sheets use the same Google permission, so an account connected for one works for the other.
iSearchFrom asks Google only for access to files it creates. It cannot open, list or change any other file or folder in your Drive — which is why it always creates its own folder rather than writing into one you already have.
Settings
Section titled “Settings”| Setting | Notes |
|---|---|
| Google account | The connected account whose Drive receives the files. Use another Google account connects a new one. |
| Folder name | iSearchFrom exports by default. The folder is created with this name on the first run. |
| Format | CSV, Excel, JSON Lines, SQL or Parquet, as your plan allows. |
Test connection checks that the account is connected and, once the folder exists, that it can still reach it.
How it works
Section titled “How it works”-
The first run creates the folder at the top of the connected account’s Drive. Every run after that adds its files to the same folder. You can rename it, move it or share it from Drive like any other folder; the export keeps finding it.
-
If the folder is deleted or moved to the bin, the next run creates a new one.
-
One file per dataset per run, named after the dataset, the day and the run:
<dataset>_<YYYY-MM-DD>_<run_id>.<extension>For example:
position_tracker-results_2026-09-30_0199a7c2-5b1e-7c3a-9f10-3d2b8e6a4c11.xlsxalerts_2026-09-30_0199a7c2-5b1e-7c3a-9f10-3d2b8e6a4c11.csv.gz<dataset>is the dataset id with.replaced by-.- The date is the UTC day the run’s window ends.
- CSV, JSON Lines and SQL files are gzipped (
.csv.gz,.ndjson.gz,.sql.gz); Excel and Parquet files are not. Drive can’t preview a.gzfile — for people who open files in Drive, choose Excel.
-
A retried run replaces its own file instead of adding a second copy.
Files count towards the connected account’s Google storage. iSearchFrom never deletes files it has delivered — clear out old ones when you no longer need them.
Duplicates
Section titled “Duplicates”Each run delivers only what is new since the last successful one, so the files add up to your
complete history. A backfill with Run now re-sends an older window as new files, and those rows
can repeat rows you already have. Every row keeps its row_id, so de-duplicate on it when you
combine files.
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”| Code | Likely cause |
|---|---|
reconnect_required | The Google connection expired or was revoked. Reconnect it under Settings → Integrations; the destination resumes by itself. |
access_denied | Google refused the write — for example, the account’s storage is full. |
not_found | The folder could not be found. Check that the account can still open it. |
